What happens with text nodes and element children?
If an XML element has both text content and child elements, the text content is stored under a special key (usually #text or _) and the child elements are stored as their own keys.
Are XML namespaces preserved?
Namespace prefixes (e.g. ns:element) are preserved in the JSON key names as-is. Namespace declarations (xmlns:) are included as attributes by default.
