Private by design: This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent to a server.

How to use Pomodoro Timer

  1. Set your durations. Pick focus, short-break and long-break lengths, plus how many focus sessions run before a long break. The defaults are the classic 25 / 5 / 15.
  2. Add your tasks. Type tasks into the list and tick them off as you finish. Everything is saved on your device automatically.
  3. Start a session. Press start and get to work. The remaining time shows in the browser tab title, so you can glance at it from any tab.
  4. Rest when it beeps. A short beep marks the end of each session, and the timer moves you into the right break automatically.

Pomodoro Timer Frequently asked questions

Twenty-five minutes is long enough to get into a flow state but short enough that your attention rarely collapses first. If your work needs longer stretches, raise the focus length in the settings. The technique still works.
Yes. The timer is anchored to the clock time it should finish, not to a per-second counter, so it stays accurate even when the tab is in the background or your laptop sleeps briefly.
